Welcome to the Portuguese Canadian Golfers Association (PCGA) Website!
Ryder Cup Competition
The PCGA has been challenged by the Mexican-Canadian Golfers Association for an annual friendly Ryder Cup style competition, which we have accepted.
The first event will be held on Sunday August 22nd. at a Golf Club to be announced shortly. The format that has been agreed will be similar to that used by the PCGA in the Camoes Cup where each player's handicap will be used. Each Association will be represented by 16 players in mixed foursomes of two players per Association.
We have agreed to use the PCGA's Order of Merit (recently updated on our website) point system as of date of this event as the deciding barometer of which PCGA members will be invited to represent the PCGA at this fun event. The top 15 members in the Order of Merit will be automatically invited with the 16th spot being reserved for the PCGA President (Joe Silva - currently).
We will continue down the Order of Merit until such time as we have acceptance from 15 PCGA members.
There are now only two remaining PCGA events until this real fun challenge, you still have an opportunity to move up the list, please be sure to book your attendance to the next two events without delay.
